Situated in the heart of the Champagne 5 km from Epernay, the magnificent village of Hautvillers dominates it's vineyard. About 1861, Dom Perignon, then cellarmaster in the benedictine abbey of Hautvillers, invented champagne as we know it today. It is thanks to this important event that Hautvillers became the most renowned village of the region.
The familly champagne house of JM Gobillard et Fils cultivates about 25 hectares of vines, mostly in the Premier Cru vineyard of Hautvillers. We also receive grapes from some 75 hectares of vines through multiyear agreements with growers selected for their expertise and quality. Passion, dynamism ans know-how characterise this growing family business, both in the vineyard and in commerce, with each stage carefully and rigorously controlled, while fully respecting the Champagne tradition.
